News: Kotobukiya announced Sword Art Online - Asuna Aincrad Ani*Statue
Saw announcement of this figure posted on Kotobukiya's facebook page and thought of sharing it here too. Being a fan of Sword Art Online (SAO), I am really excited that Kotobukiya is making a statue of Asuna. And seriously this so far one of the best Asuna figure I have seen based on the picture. Check them out below!
"A Kotobukiya Japanese import! The next beautiful Ani*Statue from Kotobukiya comes from Sword Art Online, a Japanese light novel series by Reki Kawahara with illustrations by Abec that's been adapted into manga, anime, and a video game. First up is the main protagonists of the game Sword Art Online, Asuna Aincrad! A member (and sub-leader) of the Blood Oath clan, Asuna's in-game avatar appears here in a stunning display as she seems to float in mid-air above a unique base with broken column and gold rings. The girl wears her clan's white and red "armor", a beautiful outfit highlighted by its blood red skirt, white top with long trailing coat, and tiny red crosses decorating the ensemble. In her right hand Asuna wield her iconic sword, though her smiling face reassures you that there's no danger she can't handle. The girl's dynamic pose and outfit are sure to be a hit with fans of the series as well as collectors of beautiful Ani*Statues! Sculpted by Hirotoshi Nakanura, Asuna is almost 8 ½ inches tall floating above her display base." - From Kotobukiya's Facebook
According to source this Asuna statue will be availabe in Jun 2013. It is a must get for me as a SAO fan. So fellow SAO fans, be quick to get it if you are interested, for some reason I feel this figure will be selling fast!

News: Nendoroid Asuna previewed by Mika Tan
Just posted about the news and images about this Nendoroid and here it is, previewed by Mika Tan, the Nendoroid Asuna, the fencer in the Sword Art Online (SAO). If you had been viewing my blog, you would know that how crazy am I on SAO. Ok la, not really crazy, but hmm interested yes... First, I think the story was good, the character designs was good, the song was good plus it was an action, fantasy and abit of romance anime. What hitted me was the main character, Kirito. I feel that he was just like me! Ok enough bullshit.. Back to the Nendoroid, let's check out the images shared by Mika Tan!
From the images shown by Mika Tan, there are a total of three facial expressions, which is common and two version of weapons plus a menu window as accessories. In case you have not idea what is game menu window, I have inserted a picture below showing Asuna opening her game menu window in the anime:
I certainly hope Goodsmile Company can add in more accessories then this. Probably some sandwich or something? She is a great cook in the anime right? Anyway according to source, it will be available for PO on 12th Oct. This is definitely a buy, at least for me..

My collection: Yūki Asuna (Titania Ver.) from Sword Art Online
Finally received the last SAO figure from hobby magazines. If you are interested on the previous three figures, please click here (Asuna married ver., Asuna, Kirito) to view them.
This version of Asuna, known as Titania version is actually Asuna's avatar from another game called ALfheim Online. Since I have not read the light novel, my knowledge of this portion is pretty shallow. All I know was it should be the later part of the story which I really hope to see it in the anime. Anyway back to the figure, I have taken several images as usual.
According to source, ALfheim Online is a game based on elves characters. That explains the pointed ears we have seen on Asuna Titania.
A photo shot with the previous 2 Asuna
And lastly a group photo of all the 4 SAO figures
Alright that is all for this post, thanks all for viewing. I have seen more upcoming SAO figures, so stay tuned for my post on them!
