My Collection: Banpresto Fate/ Zero DXF Servant figure vol.1 (Saber and Lancer)

I have really been waiting for this series since I posted news of this on my blog in August last year (Click here to view). Finally I have collected it last Friday. Let's scroll down for more pictures!

This is the Vol. 1 of this Banpresto Fate/ Zero DXF Servant figure series featuring Saber and Lancer and both figure will be shown on this post. Let us take a look at Lancer first.

The box art is basically the image of the Lancer figure in the box. But I like the way it is presented at backview of the box. It shows all 8 figures with Lancer in the center.

The figure itself looks pretty good especially the head sculpt. It shows really great details that he even has his 'beauty spot' under his right eye. Not sure if I am the only one who thinks he resembled Aizen (from Bleach).

Next we have Saber in the house! Lets first look at the box art!

Same as Lancer, the box art of Saber is simply images of the Saber figure in the box. Nothing really special about it... Let's move on to the actual figure.

This figure is awesome, the coloring, shading and details are really up to standard. I am quite impressed with the details of the Excalibur. I have taken several pictures of both figures below, please scroll down to enjoy!

Next to come is Vol. 2 featuring Archer and Berserker, expected to arrive in Feb 13. Looking forward to it!

News: Ichiban Kuji Premium Prize lottery (一番獎): Fate/ Zero (Part 1)

Approximately three months ago, I posted about the Fate/ Zero Ichiban Kuji Premium set which was spotted at Fate/Zero Fourth Holy Grail War Exhibition held in Japan (Click here to view it!). After waited for so long,

Prize G - With Prize G as Chara figurines, it looks like this is a continual of the previous two Banpresto Ichiban Kuji Prize lottery series Part 1 and Part 2. The Chara figures stands approx. 10cm, which is similar to the Prize A,B,C and D of the previous two Banpresto Ichiban Kuji Prize lottery series. This Prize G consists of: Saber, Kiritsugu (Master of Saber), Lancer, Kayneth (Master of Lancer), Assassin, Kariya (Master of Berserker) and Berserker.

Prize F - This looks like poker cards to me, but according to source it says picture cards...

Prize E - Wine/ champagne glass, with images of characters in Fate/ Zero, Kirei Kotomine, Archer and Tokiomi Tosaka. Height approx. 16cm.

Prize D - According to source they called it poster awards. Based on the sized given, it is A1 sized, quite a big poster...

Prize C - PVC figure of Archer in Fate/ Zero series, also known as Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes.
Height approx. 22cm, Gilgamesh is looking good in his golden armor..

Prize B - PVC figure of Waver Velvet, the master of Rider in Fate/ Zero series. Velvet might be looking smaller at a approx. height of 18cm, but do not underestimate his determination!

Prize A - PVC figure of Rider in Fate/ Zero series, whose real identity is Iskander, the King of Conquerors. Since he has a muscular build in the anime, his figurine must also be made to match his height. Standing at 24cm, this King of Conquerors also has a detachable cape!

We are coming to an end of this post, but before I end, I want to show the teaser poster of the Part 2 Ichiban Kuji Premium Prize lottery. From the shadow figure, it is not hard to tell the Prize A, B and C of the Part 2, isn't it? (Hint: Kiritsugu Emiya, Saber and Lancer)

News: DOMO + DC Comics Vinyl Figures by Funko

Since my first post this year, everything is about DC! Anyway, caught this piece of news on AFI that Funko had obtain the licence of both Domo and DC and merge them together for a Domo + DC Comics vinyl figure series. Let's take a look at the images revealed by Funko.

According to source, there are a total of 14 figures in this wave 1 and it includes: Batman (3 versions), Robin (2 versions), Superman (2 versions), Clark Kent, Aquaman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Shazam, The Riddler and Two-Faces. But fans who are interested in this set might have a hard collecting all 14 different figures because it is sold in a blind box method, meaning you cannot see which character is inside the box. And even if you bought a full box of 24 pcs, you might not necessary get all 14 figures... According to source, these 2.5" Vinyl Figures should be coming in Feb 2013.

News: New 52 Justice League Cyborg ARTFX+ Statue from Kotobukiya

This is actually "last year's" news, the last member of the DC Comics Justice League New 52 ARTFX+ Statue series, Cyborg has finally made his appearance on Kotobukiya's facebook page! Let's have a look at the pictures below:

"A Kotobukiya Japanese import! Kotobukiya’s line of DC Comics “New 52” ARTFX+ Statues continues, capturing the new looks and costumes of heroes in the Justice League. Joining the previously announced Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman, Batman, and Wonder Woman is the final member of the team, Cyborg! Victor Stone was a student athlete who was caught in an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs while visiting his father Silas. Seeing his son barely clinging to life, Silas performed a radical procedure implanting all sorts of alien and experimental technology into Victor. Reborn as part man and part machine, the young man finds himself defending the Earth against Darkseid alongside its greatest heroes as Cyborg!

Accepting his newfound powers and the responsibilities they entail, Cyborg completes the elite lineup of the ARTFX+ Justice League. The technological hero is armored from head to toe with smooth panels interspersed with layered plates and segments.

The sculpting detail on Cyborg is phenomenal, with intricate cybernetic mechanisms including the complex interlocking sections on his torso, heavy boots, and the powerful weapon on his right arm. Under all of that metal is still the heart and soul of a young man, and the only flesh and blood part of Victor that’s visible is three-quarters of his face and a sliver of his scalp.

Cyborg stands nearly 8 ½ inches tall in the ARTFX+ 1/10th scale, and was sculpted by Atelier Bamboo (Goutaro Takeuchi). Like his allies, magnets in his feet give him excellent stability on the included Justice League logo display base. Cyborg completes the Justice League lineup, so be sure to collect them all!" - From Kotobukiya

For those who have not seen the previous releases of DC Comics Justice League New 52 ARTFX+ Statue series, I have posted a few here; Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman and The Flash. (I have missed out on Superman and Green lantern). According to source this Cyborg will be ready by July, time to do your PO if you really like this figure!

News: Sideshow reveals pictures of upcoming DC 1/6th scale figure line series

To celebrate their 12th years anniversary, Sideshow had arranged for 12 behind-the-scenes pictures from 25th Dec 2012 to 5th Jan 2013. These 5 superheroes and supervillians were revealed on the 1st Jan 2013, which really caught my attention. Let's take a look at the teaser pictures!

These figures really look true to the DC Comics, unlike the ones from Hot Toys who have be manufacturing the movie versions. I liked the Sideshow's version of Superman and Batman. But at the same time, am I the only one who thinks that Catwoman's neck is a bit too long based on the picture? Hope the actual product does not have this problem. Anyway, thanks for reading my first post in 2013, hope this is a good and new beginning!
