already got the first Christoper Reeve Superman from Hot Toys last year... (Or was it the year before last year..?)
"Originally a brave and kind-hearted hero with a strong sense of justice, morality and righteousness due to the exposure to synthetic kryptonite in Superman III the movie, Superman has descended into darkness and becomes an evil version of Superman. The showdown between him and Clark Kent at the junkyard is a critical part of the film.
Hot Toys is happy to present the 1/6th scale Superman (Evil Version) Collectible Figure from Superman III as one of the 2013 Toy Fairs Exclusive items. This collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Christopher Reeve in the movie, highlighting the detailed head sculpt, movie-accurate costume and specially-designed figure stage.
Paying tribute to Christopher Reeve, we are pleased to support the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and their mission to advance research into spinal cord injury and improve quality of life for people living with paralysis." - From Hot Toys webpage

I think HT is not sincere and doesn’t put much effort in this year exclusive figures. I believe most collectors will skip Captain America (bad sculpt) and Superman (Repaint version). I feel very sad as Joe (Bruce Willis) is treated as 2013 exclusive. He should be one of the figures in G.I.JOE series. Furthermore, the facial likeness is not good, something is not right there. I think HT has run out of idea for their 1/6 scale line. They always go back to what they did previously and re-release the figures in 2.0 version. Anyway, I can save a lot of money this year…
ReplyDeleteNice comment bro, I do agree the re-paint version of Superman and the Captain America is a 'lousy' exclusive idea, but I think Bruce Willis is awesome! Maybe I have more tolerance on this. But nevertheless I am getting Captain America for sure haha.
