News: Kotobukiya previews Street Fighter Chun-Li Bishoujo Statue

I have been waiting for this figure ever since it was revealed on SDCC 2012. After sawing the picture of the prototype on the displays during SDCC 2013, I was kind of in a dilemma. The character was great, but I
think the pose could be better. And I always have doubts on figurines which 'stands on one foot'.. It just gives me an 'insecure' feel. I don't when the foot can get 'tired and' gives way...

"A Kotobukiya Japanese import! Street Fighter II: The World Warrior marks the first appearance of Chun-Li, an undercover Interpol agent looking to avenge the death of her father at the hands of Shadaloo leader M.Bison. Quickly gaining favor with gamers for her repertoire of fighting moves including the Hyakuretsu Kyaku (Lighting Kick) and Spinningu Badokyaku (Spinning Bird Kick) it’s no surprise she is often regarded to as the “first lady of fighting games”.

Expertly rendered in 1/7 scale the Chun-Li Bishoujo statue stands nearly 8 inches tall on her included display base. Based on an original illustration from world-renowned artist Shunya Yamashita, this is the inaugural release in a new series of highly collectable Street Fighter Bishoujo statues from Kotobukiya.

Available January 2014." - Taken from Kotobukiya facebook
